Brinkley Resort is a Qualmark 4 star accommodation resort and conference centre in Methven near the Mt Hutt skifield. We offer a total of 80 self contained apartments comprised of 40 studios and 40 quality two bedroom apartments. Multiple award winning restaurant and a fantastic range of resort facilities on site.

Self Contained Apartments
40 quality Two Bedroom Apartments, one bedroom with a queen bed & the other with two single beds. There is an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen with full kitchen facilities including a microwave, plus cable TV and internet access. The 2 bedroom apartments all have a spa bath and shower and separate toilet, they share a full laundry and most have superb views of the mountains.
40 Studio rooms of which 30 have one queen bed and 10 studios have two single beds. All studio rooms have limited kitchen facilities including a ceramic cooktop, shower, TV and they share a laundry.
Families & Groups
Our studio rooms sleep one or two people, while the two-bedroom apartments sleep two to four. For larger groups we make a 3 bedroom apartment by interconnecting a studio and a 2 bedroom apartment, accommodating up to six people. Our units are available for both short or long term and prices are seasonal, with higher rates being charged in the June to October ski season.
The multiple award winning Brinkley Restaurant (Shackletons Bar & Grill) is fully licensed and provides a fine selection of dishes from fresh New Zealand produce.
Pre-dinner drinks in the bar allow you to enjoy your favourite beverage or sample our wine after which you can be shown to your table by our friendly staff. We encourage our guests to linger and we are proud that our restaurant allows you to relax and enjoy the fine food and wine we offer. The open fire and modern comfortable environment combine especially well with the fine food and wines.
Open for a la carte dining during the winter ski season. Conferences, events & function catering are available all year round.
With our stunning gardens and the unbeatable backdrop of the Southern Alps, we are well known as one of Canterbury’s leading venues for conferences and weddings but we also cater for training seminars, product launches, anniversaries and family reunions.
We also have a great bar, full size floodlit astroturf tennis court, outdoor hot tubs, children’s playground, chip & putting green, plenty of off street parking and barbecue area. You can even fly directly from our exclusive helipad at the resort to Mt Hutt from as little as $120 p.p.
